EARTH Construction Techniques

Saint-Qentin-sur-Isère, France, 2021

Workshop carried out as part of the DSA-Earth Architecture 2020-2022, CRAterre - ENSAG

Objectives : Introduction to Earth Construction Techniques and know-how through participatory work on a real worksite.

Earth is not a standardized material, and earth construction techniques are rich and diverse. Therefore, to learn how to understand and transform it into a building material, practical experience is crucial. Participatory worksites are increasingly recognized and practiced today, offering a great opportunity to learn by doing in real situations where direct exchange of know-how is possible from experienced builders.
